"A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has an answer." - Maya Angelou.
Birds are truly magnificent creatures; the ability to fly miles on end at will is something all humans must envy. Some migration birds will travel hundreds of miles across countries and continents with no rest. With a magical array of colours they offer artists an opportunity to paint using a selection of different bight, glowing colours, and give the artist an opportunity to really make use of poetic licence, using their imagination to bring the animals off the canvas.
Vera Tataro uses a wonderful shade of blue in her artwork 'In the parrots azure', this brings the parrots in her artwork to life, giving them a wonderful glow and a fascinating look.
Claire Naylor uses great attention to detail in her artworks, in 'Lining up' we see a bird ready to catch its dinner, with the reflections in the water and the great attention to detail we can imagine being there watching the bird.
