"Summer is a great time to visit art museums, which offer the refreshing rinse of swimming pools - only instead of cool water, you immerse yourself in art." - Jerry Saltz
Itís hot in England at the moment and no one can get over it! So rather than lie on the grass looking at the clouds getting your tan, why not look at some art as Jerry Saltz suggests. Summer offers a great opportunity for artists as they can sit outside from dawn till dusk doing what they love.
Martin Thompsonís photographs capture perfectly how British people think of summer, a packed beach with beer bellies and bad tan lines. In ĎBathers Iní Martin shows us why we love the beach so much, the wonderful sea, a glistening blue with the sunís rays reflecting off, and somewhere to cool off. In ĎBathers Outí we see people relaxing and playing, and we get a real sense of the happiness of the holiday makers through the artwork.
