Adriana Eyzaguirre enjoys working with the subleties of English light. She works quickly from nature in oils, often on a small scale, She enjoys capturing subjects such as birds necessitating a keen eye for observation, a quick hand and a good memory. She has lived in London for twenty years, hailing originally from Chile, where she studied under the well loved Chilean painter, Adolfo Couve. In addition to her solid foundation in drawing, the colour scheme is perhaps the main carrier of her unusual painting sensibilities. Minty aqua greens, coupled with turquoise, mauve and sand make for sensitive imagery, evoking the shimmering heat haze of a sunny kitchen, where birds might fly freely in and out.
