I trained in fine art and art therapy at Hornsey/Middlesex in the late 70ís, and undertook a postgraduate course at Goldsmiths in the 80ís. Following this, I taught Art as well as Design and Technology in Inner London schools and also produced artwork on a freelance basis for the music industry (CD inlays, promotional material and portraits of musicians.)
In 2002, I returned to painting, and became fascinated with geology, after visits to the Northumberland coast and East Devon 'Jurassic' coast. Most of the work from this period is concerned with the forces of nature over time, the traces of cataclysmic events and the
results of more subtle environmental interactions.
