All my works have strong aesthetic characteristics of colour, rhythm and texture as well as a deeper personal meaning that cannot always be seen at first glance, and may be impenetrable to some. I believe that art must have compelling reasons to exist; one reason might be to communicate specific ideas or emotions, but another, perhaps more important, is to provide a point of departure for the viewer's own thoughts and feelings.
The symbolism in the paintings is deliberately ambiguous, so that you, the viewer can find your own meanings. Each response will be your own, therefore it will automatically be individual, because that's who we are, individuals.
I don't want to tell you what theses paintings mean, I can only tell you what they mean to me. Instead, I'd like you to take your time, quietly look at the paintings and realise how they make you feel.
Most of all, enjoy them.
