Most of my work originates from the discarded and leftover materials of everyday life. The source of much of the imagery is based on that of city decay and regeneration. Building sites are favourite haunts. I construct, deconstruct and reconstruct my materials, the process thus becoming a rrietaphor for its subject. Some of the work has also been influenced by images of war and conflict.
The "Fragment" series of aquatints represent both physical fragments as well as those of dreams, memories and ideas.
The reliefs are a development of the preliminary work for the etchings, and are an attempt at exploring the same themes in another form.
