Sue McMullen is in the "WHO's WHO OF ART", the "WORLD WHO'S WHO OF WOMEN", & the "INTERNATIONAL DICTIONARY OF BIOGRAPHY".
Sue was trained through the Royal Academy of Arts, having a compositional strength in drawing that underpins all her work . Sue is drawn to the light, and the soft shadows it creates. She starts all her canvases in a light to mid tone of grey/brown. This staining is used as part of the image, working deliberately with it through to light from dark. Boats, trees, buildings were all portrayed as symbols of the self.
