I have been painting for the past five years. I attended a part-time Art Course once a week in the evening. I started as a beginner and eventually progressed to such a level where I attended local exhibitions. I do not attend any formal training at present and I paint part-time and work full-time. I like to work at my own pace and never plan ahead or decide on a specific theme. When I start my painting I don't draw a rough picture and follow that through. I go with my inner thoughts and feelings as projected when I do paint. I use oils on various sizes of canvas and use conventional as well as unconventional utensils to get a certain tone or feeling. The objects are figures and abstracts. I do roughly about 3/4 paintings per year depending on size and time I have available to paint. For the first time in my life I am able to fulfil my longing to be an Artist. | |||||
