Lena Burova

Lena Burova’s Neverland

Lena Burova already known in Tver, Russia as a glass artist. She uses 3D effect tecnique in her works. She had several solo exhibitions which received great attention in Tver’s press.

In her works, the artist creates a magical idyllic serene country in which the harmonious natural world inhabited by mysterious fish swimming in the deep sea, dragonflies circling over the flowers at dawn, she creates magical cities populated by sensual characters. All images in her paintings are made of glass – whether it’s the inhabitants of the deep sea or the plants - all of them infused with a special spirituality. Every house has its own character, and seems that it’s about to spring to life. In some of her works the artist skilfully combines fairy-tale atmosphere with well-known signs of her home town Tver.

The artist has no professional education, and therefor she does not have stereotypes and taboos that inevitably constrain the professional artists. She uses all palette of natural bright colors: colorful pieces of glass - yellow, orange, cornflower-blue, emerald green and purple, to which the artist adds gold and silver streaks. She adds these streaks to a glass base, at first sight they seem chaotic, but the closer look reveals the artist’s vision of the universe.

Despite being simingly simplistic, every Lena’a creation filled with spirituality and philosophical overtones, reflecting the harmonious vision of the artist.

The artist donated many of her works to schools and children centers, one of them is “Lilac Morning”, which artist donated to the Tver Regional Center of Child and Family.

The artist also creates decorative and exclusive clocks and lamps, which decorated with plants or marine themes, figures of angels, made of polystone. She also works in the field of arts and crafts and creates dolls and soft toys.

Many of Lena’s works decorate offices as well as residential premises in Tver. The artist has decorated a restaurant in the Moroccan style in Moscow. She also sold her works in St. Petersburg and abroad. Lena invites all her fans to “travel” to the sunny country “Steklyandiya” (Glassland), created by artist’s fantasy.
