Jay Walker has worked as a metal fabricator and an artist and has created a unique way of combining these two disciplines. His works are created in such a way that they react with light and movement. This is done by using an array of techniques and power tools to etch and grind patterns and a flow into the metal before spraying. He uses special translucent pigments which he builds in layers to different degrees of opacity so the grinding in the metal shows through in a lot of cases. He often leaves bare metal to show the beauty of the material and the raw metal naturally blends to become part of the image. He occasionally uses acrylic paints and other mediums.
Jay likes to create images encompassing a variety of themes from surrealism, figurative, fantasy and abstract landscapes often combining these together. His pieces are normally flashed with bright vivid colours.
Jay exhibits his work at exhibitions and galleries across the U.K
