Iwan Kulik

Born in 1959, in Kiev, living in Poland since the 90's of the 20th century
Graduated from art school for children with gifted artistic talents.
In 1982 graduated the Painting and Drafting Faculty of Pedagogical University in Dniepropietrovsk.
In 1989 graduated from the Academy of Art in Kharkov.
In 2001 was invited by the well-known Italian vineyard Cormons to design a label for “Vino della Pace
- created illustrations for 'The Master and Margarita' by Mikhail Bulhakov, 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell and the most recent are his pictorial comments on 'Don Quixote' by Miguel de Cervantes

educated in the technique of monumental painting, after having arrived in Warsaw took up oil painting and recently works are dominated by gouache technique.

works are created in daylight to have full control of color palette and light variations and show harmony of imaginary world, mostly a symbolic representation of people, their life styles and surroundings. The articulated figures and often other accompanying elements distortion is characteristic of all works.

Following the dramatic events of the Euromaidan and in reaction to the annexation of Crimea by Russia, created new series of works.
