Helena Sivakova is evidently an accomplished artist, who favours the less figurative subjects of the artist's oeuvre: landscape and still life. She takes her cues from the greats: sunflowers, bold as brass, made famous by Van Gogh. And bucolic landscapes, whose titles allude to a sense of losing onesself: mirroring the immersive pleasures of the act of painting itself. |
