Janet Moses is a Malaysian Artist who now lives and works in London.
Although Janet works on conventional stretched canvas, she is constantly experimenting with a variety of mediums to create her desired surface texture and form. In this latest series of works
her works are invitations to find quiet among noise and bustle, peaceful places on the canvas where the eye and the mind can rest. The layers reflect the dense jungle undergrowth of Malaysia where I was raised; the colours are sunlight and the shadows are the dank and the dark under the forest canopy. Layers take on new forms, writhing and shifting until finding their place on the
canvas. When you seek life and colour and movement, you can find it. Seek peace and it is there but you must search for it.
She participated in a group show in Espacio Gallery, Shoreditch recently and her latest work is also in exhibition around Cambridge & Southampton.
