Lucas Witte-Vermeulen studied art in South Africa. He moved to Bedfordshire in 2005. "I am primarily a figurative painter focusing on the nude female form...works are painted in a tightly controlled modern realist style. Compositions are simple and stripped down as much as possible. I also paint still lifes and landscapes painted mainly from the local countryside in Bedfordshire".
