| Born in 1960, Dragomir Savovic is based in Belgrade. Savovic refers collectively to his latest series of works as ‘new visual explorations’. Aiming to create an image that draws on cartoon, comics and caricature he uses humour as a vehicle of creation. “People mainly look funny to me in their strivings towards their goals and that is what I try to express in my pictures.” Fascinated by the grotesque his work is organic in both its creation and its aesthetic. |
