Ludmila Kufel-Rutowska

These canvasses contain a thick atmosphere that engulfs the viewers as they look on. Beauty is shown in its eerie oddness and the emotions of life are laid bare for all to see. A couple share tea in a room of blue, their ritual one of unity but their body language is one of distance. You can almost feel the silence. In ‘Cut Down’ figures are shown incomplete, their body parts forming a collage of heads and legs all reclining together and dreaming. Her abstracts have an organic quality as cells or seas are shown for their intangible wonder. Through the use of big, bold colours against muted, pastel backgrounds she makes the work jump out from the canvass and create a striking image. Definitely talented, and already popular with collectors here at LondonArt, she is an artist to watch out for in the future

Peter Lancaster

Peter Lancaster's work can't be defined by a particular genre or style but instead is characterized by his use of cool blues, fiery reds and dry humour. Peter Lancaster's most recent series of works take there inspiration from the English language. Visually exploring cockney rhyming slang and or turns of phrase, Peter finds humour in the combination and association of words and their interpretations. Currently working on a series of paintings inspired by some of the great masters he aims not to copy but interpret …"In these paintings I am trying to view the world as if I was standing at the same spot as the artist but painting a world that has either been untouched by humans or that has been corrupted." Peter Lancaster has been painting professionally for over seven years and has exhibited his work in the UK.

James  Lavott

The host of stylistic approaches in James Lavott's work cannot disguise the fact that here is an artist who is searching to depict his own original take on the world. He has studied the western artistic masters and seeks to build on their various visual languages: from Surrealist still lives, to Expressionist pole dancers, to Cubist mosaic portraits. He also works with contemporary subject matter such as sporting heroes and celebrated musicians as well as portriats of friends and family. One can also detect paintings that clearly bear the hallmarks of a more whimsical starting point: the doodle! This is a way of bringing forth unexpected visual results.

Pol Ledent

Pol Ledent is an accomplished abstract painter whose abstract work brings to mind the expressive, gestural style of the postwar European Tachism movement. But he is a versatile artist and equally able to embrace figurative work. Both styles have a similar aesthetic runnng through them: colourful and often tonal, but in the figurative work he subtly picks out and emphasises compositional aspects and embellishes them.

Tatiana Leony

Glowing from within, with an unusual colour palette; the paintings of Russian artist Tatiana Leony contain individual narratives with a spiritual feel. They are reminiscent of the dream- like Folk Art figures of Marc Chagall and have a decidedly appealing, mystical atmosphere.

Sandy Lloyd

These paintings operate on a large scale in acrylic paint and mixed media on canvas, Working mainly across the spectrum of complementary opposites of blue and orange, they are evocative of sun and rain, warmth and water. The language is one of sensuous dripping and generous gestural washes revealing large open air spaces. Sandy Lloyd's other key stylistic feature is the play between transparency and opacity. All in all, this is an artist with a keen visual intelligence whose titles allow us to infer a recognisable spatial or narrative configuration.

Constantine  Lykiardopoulos

Constantine Lykiardopoulos is inspired by a passion for architecture and the imagery of his native Greece. However, his distinctive townscapes with their warped perspectives are born out of his imagination rather than directly representational.
