Pauline Bradley

The figure is the basis of Pauline Bradley’s work. “A persons personality as expressed through body language often tells us more about their real feelings than words, which are frequently used to mislead or disguise the true nature of emotions. My work has always been concerned with the intimate inner emotions experienced by people, as expressed through their specific and particular body movements.”

Catherine Heard

While Catherine's condiment works look like random collections of kitchen basics, they are in fact psychological profiles of their owners - portraits that can tell us more about their subjects than more traditional head-and-shoulders daubs. She also captures the recognisable brands with loving attention to detail.

Katherine  Lubar

Lubar's glowing effervescent paintings create optical illusions of light and shadow. Often taking us through three or four stages and divisions of reality, she exhibits her work across London and America where her work is held in private collections. "My work takes as its subject light and shadow. The shape of a light pattern and the "negative" space surrounding it combine and interact with each other to form a geometrically interesting composition. Unnatural colours are used to create the feeling of light hitting the eye and sometimes dark and light tones are used together to give the feeling that the painting itself "glows" with its own light." Marcus Bishop

Marcus Bishop is a ‘free form’ painter. Listening to music, he allows his mind to clear of daily thoughts and cares and then relinquishes his deep felt emotions on to the canvas. Each painting is started and completed in one session, in the hope that it will reflect the intensity of emotion he experiences while painting.
