Grae Storm

Grae Storm began his professional career as a commercial lithographic printer. Producing his own work in the evening, he comments, "I spent the early years reproducing postcards and posters of other people's artwork by day, and by night painting in my rented room in Perivale". After a period in the early eighties touring Europe as an Airbrush artist, Storm returned to the UK where he now lives and works. Now a full time fine artist he finds his inspiration from nature. "I enjoy the silent study of nature; I look at hills and human hands with a new reverence".

Sturla  Strand

Sturla uses a mixture of techniques in creating his images. Some of them are developed in a traditional way, in a darkroom; others are played with by using Photoshop. Sturla prefers working with a photograph digitally, because it gives him overall control with the result and look of the work. He is interested in shapes, lines and shadows; generally speaking in a form of an object. His inspirations come from various motives and places; most of his shots are taken locally to his home, in Son, Norway.

Virginia Stuart

''Seascape, the deep blue sea, a nautical gateway, imaginings, poetry and reflection. The minds eye sees where no light shines. A specific gravity rules the waves. Rust and rivets resist salt and water, the sea dissolves all while the wind blows.''Virginia Stuart

Anna Styrc

The work of Anna Styrc is colourful, imaginative and highly charged. Taking her inspiration from nature, she creates paintings in mixed media and acrylic, whose surfaces appear to be constantly moving. She makes deft use of the palette knife to create a rich array of textures and at times adds metallic effects to capture the energy of life and the environment breathing.

Arisa Tabaku

With a free and easy style, Arisa Tabaku's enjoyment of painting really comes across. The lyricism of her figurative works, especially "Girl Bathing" is further emphasised in abstracts such as "The Universe". Only an artist immersed in the creative process could so confidently produce such a clear work of sheer pleasure! In works such as these, one is reminded of the child-like wonder of artist Paul Klee. Her London-based paintings also benefit from that same energy. With their lilting brushwork, they describe the sights of this great capital with the artist's, colourful and quirky approach.

David Taylor

David Taylor studied Architecture and Design at the London Design School. His career as an Architect led him to travel extensively, visiting many countries and diverse landscapes across the world. This experience had a powerful effect on him and initially inspired him to begin painting. Taylor uses his visual memory as his main point of reference. By manipulating the oil paint with palette knife and brush, he builds a sense of depth and atmosphere which reflects some of the dramatic weather conditions he so enjoys painting. Looking to Turner for inspiration he hopes to create, “an almost religious and mystic quality to his work.”
